KNOWLEDGE FAMILY CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN AGRIBUSINESS

In this paper we analyze how farmers make use of two types of knowledge, one is derived from the locality in which they work, based on ancient practices (Diaz et al 2004). That is, tacit knowledge accumulated through generations, which are transmitted by the nuclear family almost always associated with extra-scientific forms or industrial agriculture, to learn from reality, which usually occur in a speech that when appeals to care for the environment translates to the phrase "I want to return to work as did my grandparents." But also as Toledo (2008) notes local knowledge to be covered must be analyzed in its relations both with practical activities such as the belief system of the culture or human group
