. The purpose of this paper is to show the impact of family support, in the creation and consolidation of business strategies among a group of Mexican ( from Michoacan) migrants. They have bought commercial blueberry farms and are beginning to venture into other businesses such as grocery stores, restaurants, fruit packing or laundries. Fieldwork in Michigan has shown that family cultural support in many areas has been crucial for their business economic performance.
