AB - Spanish: In Italy, as well in other Europe countries, in the last decade there has been a progressive increase of mixed marriages from 4.8% in 1995 to 13% in 2014. Therefore mixed marriages constitute a very interesting research field in order to explore the ways through which transnational relation are shaped and take place at the intersection between individual-family-institutions, or at the intersection between private and public sphere. On the one side, mixed families becomes a creative context that converts extraneousness into belonging, both in daily life as relatives, and at the institutional level as citizen (In Italy, still now further 50% of migrants successful apply for citizenship concern marriage with an Italian). On the other side, mixed couples become a border zone through which the state disciplines immigrants according to their class, nationality and gender.Starting from the ethnographic data (Italian-Moroccan and Italian-Albanian intermarriage in Rome), on the one hand, I will try to anlyze mixed family in the context of the transnational families debate. On the other side, I will try to analyze the way in which mixed family was constructed through transnational relation in an perspective that connect institutional and daily life level, but also practices, politics and imaginations.   Further, transnational relation in mixed family is not separated from the strategy of integration of migrant and of the family, so  this perspective produce a change from transnational to translocal relation.    English: In Italy, as well in other Europe countries, in the last decade there has been a progressive increase of mixed marriages from 4.8% in 1995 to 13% in 2014.
